Your data

Your data matters to you. To us too.

A call to your business contains a name, a number, sometimes sensitive information. Here is where that data goes, what it is used for and how long we keep it.

  • Your data stays yours

We use it only to run your assistant, never for our own purposes.

Several of our providers are US companies, including the ones that transcribe the voice and prepare the answers. Those two are called through a European endpoint, and every transfer outside the EU is covered by contract. The full list is in our privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

What is TonIAssistant?

TonIAssistant (also written Toni Assistant or Ton IA Assistant; French for “your AI assistant”) is an AI receptionist for small and medium businesses, published by LD Consulting in Lyon, France. It answers your customers or patients by phone, on your website chat, by email, on WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram. It answers questions, books appointments in the calendar you already use and passes requests on to your team. It is set up for your business, not a generic bot.

Does it answer at night and at weekends?

Yes. TonIAssistant answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays. It also takes several calls at once, so nobody waits.

Which channels does it answer on?

Phone (your current number is forwarded to TonIAssistant), your website chat, email (Gmail and Outlook), WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram. The first three months run on all your channels, or only on the ones you choose.

Does it really book appointments on its own?

Yes. During the conversation, TonIAssistant finds a free slot in your calendar, offers it and enters the appointment. It connects to Google Calendar, Outlook or Calendly. Your team has nothing to copy over.

Does it speak English?

Yes. Your assistant is set up in English or in French, with natural-sounding English voices on the phone. Toni, the chat on this page, answers in whichever language you write in.

Which sectors is it set up for?

TonIAssistant is set up for each sector: dental practices, medical practices, hotels, estate agencies, garages, hair salons and others. The list is open: the 15-minute demo is where we check your case.

Does it replace my front desk or my receptionist?

No, it takes the load off your team. It handles the calls and messages the team cannot take: busy hours, evenings, weekends, holidays. It hands over to your team as soon as a request falls outside the scope you defined.

Where do you operate?

TonIAssistant is run from Lyon, France, and is available to businesses across the European Union, including France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Your existing number is forwarded, so where you are does not change the set-up. Your data stays in the EU.

Do I need a subscription?

No. There is no subscription: you buy the amount you choose up front, and usage is deducted as call minutes and messages are used. A quiet month costs less than a busy month. The exact price is given during the 15-minute call, because it depends on your channels and your volumes.

Are the first three months paid?

There is no set-up fee. During the first three months you pay for what you use, as afterwards, with the spending threshold you set. Every week we review the conversations with you and correct what needs correcting. At the end of month 3 we compare each objective with your starting figures.

Is there a commitment?

No commitment: you stop whenever you want.

Where is my data hosted, and is it GDPR compliant?

In the European Union: the server is rented in Germany and the call infrastructure runs in Frankfurt. We sign a data processing agreement under Article 28 of the GDPR with every client. Your data is used only to run your assistant, never for our own purposes.

How long are calls kept?

You decide whether calls are recorded and transcribed. By default, recordings and transcripts are deleted after 30 days, unless you set a different period.

How long does set-up take?

About three weeks: week 1 for scoping, weeks 2 and 3 for configuration and testing by your team. The first three months start after that.
